Everything that we are and everything we become is the result of our thoughts. Walles D. Wattles wrote in his book, The Science of Being Great, “You are what you are and where you are because you think as you do”.
The mind is the most powerful tool God has given to human beings and animals. Whatever you see around you was once a thought in someone else`s mind. You alone are responsible for what goes into your mind. What goes into your mind is what you get out, and we all know that nothing can exist without creative thought. This means that if you want to achieve great results, you must think great thoughts. Most of us however, in striving to create something great, are beset by negative thoughts. This is part of our human nature and it’s imperative that we fight these negative thoughts daily.
Positive thinking is hard work. If that were not the case, there wouldn`t be so many books written on the subject. Keeping positive is something we all battle with from time to time. As we grow up, we are conditioned by conversations and people around us. Take me for example - I was raised in a very negative environment where vulgar language was used each and every day. I was always cursed at and told I would never amount to anything - just like my parents. This is what I continually heard. When I read books, I was labelled as someone who thought he was better than others. I refused to take offence because I knew it was the truth and I was indeed trying to be better than they were. I was determined to recondition my mind from all the negative thinking to a more positive mindset.
