This is a book which shows you a phenomenon that is showing up in schools and colleges that makes professors and teachers begin hitting themselves in the head with the pencil sharpener.

Now, hold on. Stay with me. This is a good review.

There is a complete convergence of "texting" english of the new young "techie" children and the use of shorthand writing.

Now, the truth is, is that all poets did this way back in the 70's or 80's (putting shorthand and texting style short signs nos. etc); but that was back before cell phones and you just got an "f" for ticking-off the teacher for doing what drea did in this book.

And everyone my age (very old) took at least one "f" for writing like this--at least one time in their school years--just out of protest for all the punctuation rules that we all hated.

I was laughing with delight when I saw this style for all of us who were children in the 70's and who caught holy hell for writing like this.

I personally love watching the english language be playful and morph right before my eyes.

I'm also so darn jealous of the creative freedom that texting has given the little tykes of today.
